The 3-Point Molly Craps Strategy
The 3-Point Molly keeps three numbers working using only line bets and free odds: a Pass Line bet and two Come bets, each with odds behind it. Here's how to build it, what the odds pay on each number, the house edge of each bet, and a free table where you can practice it.

What is the 3-Point Molly?
A way of covering three numbers using only Pass, Come and odds bets. At a $5 table:
- $5 on the Pass Line on the come-out roll, then odds behind it once the point is set;
- a $5 Come bet, which moves to the next point number rolled, then odds behind it;
- a second $5 Come bet the same way, so three numbers are covered.
How to play it, step by step
- Bet the Pass Line on the come-out roll.
- Take the odds once a point is set.
- Bet the Come. The next roll decides it like a new come-out: a 7 or 11 wins it, a 2, 3 or 12 loses it, and any other number becomes its point, and the bet moves to that number.
- Take the odds behind the Come bet once it has moved to a number.
- Repeat until three numbers are covered: the Pass Line's point and two Come points.
- When a Come bet wins, put a new Come bet up to get back to three numbers.
- A seven-out takes the Pass Line and the Come bets with their odds. Start again with a Pass Line bet on the next come-out.
The odds behind each number
Odds pay the true odds of the number coming before a 7. Our table allows 3-4-5x odds, so on a $5 line or Come bet an odds win is $30 whichever number it's on:
| Point | Odds pay | Full odds on $5 | Odds win |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 or 10 | 2 to 1 | $15 (3x) | $30 |
| 5 or 9 | 3 to 2 | $20 (4x) | $30 |
| 6 or 8 | 6 to 5 | $25 (5x) | $30 |
On our table the odds behind Come bets are off on the come-out roll, the usual rule: if a come-out 7 takes a Come bet, its odds come back to you.
The house edge of each bet
| Bet | House edge |
|---|---|
| Pass Line | 1.41% |
| Come | 1.41% |
| Odds (any number) | 0% |
With full 3-4-5x odds, the line bets and odds together keep about 0.37% of the money bet. Putting the bets together doesn't change any of them. How we check the odds.
Variations
- 2-Point Molly. A Pass Line and one Come bet, so two numbers are covered.
- Continuous come. A new Come bet on every roll, with odds behind each one, however many numbers that covers.
- Smaller odds. Single or double odds instead of full odds, for less on the table.
In crapless craps, and on a bubble machine
In crapless craps the Molly is built the same way, but the Pass Line and Come keep 5.38%, and a Come bet can move to the 2, 3, 11 or 12. On our table the odds there are capped at 1x on the 2 and 12 (paying 6 to 1) and 2x on the 3 and 11 (paying 3 to 1).
A bubble craps machine has the Come and odds bets on its layout. Odds limits vary from machine to machine, so check the paytable.

Questions
How do you play the 3-Point Molly in craps?
Bet the Pass Line and take the odds once a point is set. Then make a Come bet and take odds behind it once it moves to a number, and do that again so three numbers are covered. When a Come bet wins, make a new one to get back to three.
How much money do you need for a 3-Point Molly?
At a $5 table, $15 in line bets: $5 on the Pass Line and $5 on each of two Come bets. With 3-4-5x odds you add $15, $20 or $25 behind each, depending on the number, so with three numbers covered there's $60 to $90 on the table.
What is the difference between the 3-Point Molly and continuous come?
The 3-Point Molly stops at three numbers and only adds a Come bet to replace one that won. Continuous come makes a new Come bet on every roll, however many numbers that covers.
What happens to Come bet odds on the come-out roll?
On most tables, ours included, the odds behind Come bets are off on the come-out roll. If a come-out 7 takes the Come bet, its odds are returned to you.
Can you play the 3-Point Molly in crapless craps?
Yes. The steps are the same. In crapless craps the Pass Line and Come bets keep 5.38%, and a Come bet can move to the 2, 3, 11 or 12, where our table allows 1x odds on the 2 and 12 and 2x on the 3 and 11.
