Bubble Craps Strategy
Bubble craps is craps on a machine: the dice sit under a clear dome, a burst of air throws them, and you bet on a touchscreen. The bets are the same as at a table, so the same strategies apply. Here's how the machine works, what's different from a live table, what to check on a machine's paytable, and our free bubble craps machine to practice on.

How a bubble craps machine works
- The dice are real dice inside a sealed dome; air from below throws them, and the machine reads the result.
- The bets are placed on a touchscreen layout at your own seat.
- There's no shooter or dealer. The machine rolls, on a timer or when the round's bets are in.
What's the same as table craps
The rules, the bets and the dice math. A Pass Line bet, a place bet on the 6 or the Field work the same way, so every strategy on this site is set up the same way on a machine.
What's different
- Paytables vary. What the Field pays on the 2 and 12, the odds limit, and the props' prices are set per machine. Read the help or paytable screen before you play.
- Many machines run crapless. A crapless layout has place bets on the 2, 3, 11 and 12 and no Don't Pass. See crapless craps strategy.
- No shooter. Strategies built around who's throwing, like the 5-Count or dice setting, have no shooter to watch. Each roll is independent of the last.
- Buttons do the dealer's work: repeat or double your last bets, press your numbers, place Inside or Across in one tap, and set your bets working on the come-out.
Is our bubble craps random?
Yes. Each roll on our machine is a fair random roll of two dice, independent of every roll before it, with the same odds as real dice. The Stats card at the table shows how often each total has come up against how often it's expected to. Casino machines are their own makers' devices; their help screens describe how they work.
Practicing strategies on our machine
Every strategy on this site can run on our machine on autopilot: tap the round ♟ button at the top right of the table and pick one, or use a Try it link on the strategies page. The machine places the bets each roll; you can add your own or turn the strategy off any time.
Our machine's rules
- Classic or Crapless, switched at the top of the table.
- Odds 3-4-5x on the 4 through 10; in crapless, 1x on the 2 and 12 and 2x on the 3 and 11.
- The Field pays double on the 2 and 12.
- Place 6 and 8 pay 7 to 6; hard 6 and 8 pay 9 to 1.
- Bonus bets: All, Tall and Small, and the Fire Bet.
